Many changes have happened in recent times, the routine we had before the Corona has become a new and unfamiliar routine. Among other things, we found ourselves abandoning habits that were once a regular part of our agenda – like getting up a little earlier in the morning to straighten our hair. And if you’re used to arranging it with different hair styling devices, you may well have noticed changes in the appearance of your hair. And this can be a great opportunity for you.
It’s no secret that hair styling devices (heat-based) can harm it, but the Corona period, which forces you to “wean” from those devices – can allow your parts to see for the first time exactly what can happen to the hair when stopped using the devices. Here’s what hair stylists have to say about the effect of hair styling devices on hair health and what happens when you stop using them.
A week without devices
After a week without using heat-based hair styling devices, the scalp’s natural oils begin to resume, the same oils come to the hair and function like a natural conditioner. According to Chad Wood, a hairstylist, it is advisable at this point to use products that add moisture to your hair, such as a hair mask. You will probably notice that the hair is softer and easier to design.
A month without devices
If you are accustomed to using the hair styling devices and following the closure you have abandoned the instruments and walked on the natural look, you have done yourself a great favor. After a two-month break, the hair is likely to change significantly for the better. Avoiding the use of heat-based devices will not only restore the moisture and natural oils of the hair, but also strengthen the protective layer of the hair. In other words, the hair will get a serious boost and you will see an improvement in its texture, quality and density. For curly or wavy hair, the hair is likely to take better shape and the curls will be more defined than usual- who said instruments needed to make the hair look better?
And what happens when you separate from the devices forever?
“You told your hair to do something he hadn’t wanted to do for a long time. If you give him freedom for an extended period of time, you will see that he becomes curlier and of better texture,” explains Bryce Scarlett, a Hollywood celebrity hairstylist like Margo Robbie and Natalie Portman. Instead of making the hair too “free” (and we all know that our hair has its own will), it is precisely this freedom from the devices that will allow it to be stronger and healthier and thus help it look better. “If you don’t use heat-based devices for three months – and make sure to apply moisturizing products at this time, your hair will eventually adapt.”
